Conventional Pakistani rickshaws get make-over, wifi+gps

Ufone Karachi rickshaws wifi
Soon Karachi will see new oval shaped grey color rickshaws roaming the streets. However, there is a surprise, these egg shaped rickshaws or should we call them eggshaws are going to have wifi facility for their riders and whoever is near to them and they also feature GPS navigation for their drivers and riders.
The rickshaw designs are part of a campaign by Ufone, probably related to Wifi or 3G services.
Ufone Redesigns Rickshaws For New Marketing Campaign
Campaign launch is yet to be officially announced but until then you can get an idea about how they will be to ride and use wifi.
While West is talking about driver less cars it will be a breeze to see atleast Wifi enabled rickshaws on out streets.

The rickshaws have been designed by ‘Brand Activate’ a Karachi based company through Ascend Engineering a Lahore based engineering company.
The exterior of the rickshaws is supposed to be made of PVC plastic or Fiber glass, so are delicate and can not bear a hit and remain intact. And the main problem with them is the  absence of ergonomic seats for long rides. Apart from that their is no element of safety, considering the roads of Karachi where people get snatched easily in rickshaws and even the slightest turns can lead to overturning of chingchi’s and rickshaws alike.
