Apple's hit another roadblock in China, with the government banning state-bought iDevices nationwide...
China's government has added a bunch of Apple products to its exclusion list of products that aren't allowed to be bought with public money.
The decision to block Apple products comes as a result of 'security concerns', according to a report by Bloomberg.
Apparently a total of ten Apple products were binned, which included the iPad, the iPad Mini, the MacBook Air, and the MacBook Pro.
The list was reported to have been published in July, but officials were allegedly told not to reveal its contents as 'the information isn't public.'
"The heightened scrutiny of foreign companies follows Edward Snowden's revelations last year of a National Secrity Agency spying program," reports Bloomberg.
The list of blocked gear means all central party departments, ministries, and local governments can't purchase the devices for commercial reasons thanks to fears of snooping.
The list will be reviewed in January next year according to sources, and currently contains products from Dell, HP, and even Lenovo - a Chinese manufacturer.
It's a disappointing moment for Apple, a firm set on cracking the Chinese market. The Cupertino company opened its eleventh Chinese store just last month.
This isn't the first time Apple's been scuppered in China as July saw the firm fail to invalidate a voice AI patent in the country that pre-dated competitor Siri.
