Last week, Oppo had released 3 teaser poster images for its upcoming smartphone, expected to be called Oppo N3, on its Facebook page. On Sunday, the alleged smartphone has been leaked in press images revealing an unusual camera design.
The alleged press images of the Oppo N3 have been posted by GSMArena, revealing a remarkably different camera module on top of the smartphone when compared to its predecessor, the Oppo N1. The central portion of the top cylinder appears to be able to rotate, and features what look like speakers on either end.
While the thickness on Oppo N1 was uniform throughout including the swivel camera on top, the alleged N3 images suggest a bulging part on top with circular rotating camera and dual-LED flash. The report didn't include any specifications for the alleged Oppo N3, but had noted that the new phablet will be far slimmer than its predecessor.
On Monday, the Chinese company has yet again posted a teaser image on its Facebook page, captioned "One more step designed for life | N3 October".
Previously, on Thursday, one of the two teaser posters on Oppo's India Facebook page had teased the Oppo N3 with an old rotary-dial phone featuring an incorrectly placed number '3', along with the caption written, "This was the phone. Time to turn things around in October. Stay tuned and keep guessing."
The other teaser poster was posted on Friday, and was captioned, "One more step designed for life" with CEO Tony Chen's message further below, "At Oppo we've always respected boldness, beauty, ingenuity and the challenges of our rivals. We have faith in technology and innovation because they are the driving forces of our modern lives. Throughout the mobile phone to smartphone evolution we at Oppo have gone with the times, yet we have never changed in our core pursuit of beauty and originally. Soon we will see the release of our newest product. We sincerely hope that our product accomplishes our desire to improve lifestyles, and to provide many more pleasant surprises to our users."
